I have experience working at each educational level – as a middle school teacher, as a high school assistant principal, central office intern, and as an elementary principal. Additionally, I currently am completing my eighth year as Associate Superintendent for Elementary Schools in Austin ISD with a portfolio of 80 elementary schools and 40,000+ students.

In my current role as Associate Superintendent for Elementary Schools, I have worked closely with my team of Executive Directors to provide leadership and guidance to our school leaders to increase the capacity for instructional leadership, access, and opportunity within the entire school community. During my educational career, I have accrued a record of strong leadership and sustained student academic achievement.  My previous school and district leadership experiences have honed my skills as a strategic data analyzer with an ability to guide educators to focus on standards, assessment of and for learning, and early interventions to maximize student success opportunities.  Additionally, I am a certified principal supervisor coach and a skilled mediator.  I also possess a deep passion for the power of learning communities and strategic job-embedded professional learning.

My strong work ethic, systems thinking mentality, strong communication skills, and dedication to the concepts of equity, relationships, and a focus on academic and social success of all children have fueled my desire to continue working to transform educational systems.
